Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

We are surrounded by media everywhere we go. People are constantly bombarded with messages that tell us how we should act and what we should look like. This workshop will provide an opportunity to analyze different ads, music videos, movies, tv shows, memes, and magazines. We will uncover what kind of messages are being put out in our communities in regards to gender, race, ethnicity, class, and sexual orientation. At the end of the workshop we will brainstorm ways we can actually utilize the media as a form of resistance and education.
