The Human Rights Campaign, in collaboration with Gender Spectrum, has released it’s groundbreaking report Supporting and Caring for Our Gender-Expansive Youth: Lessons from the Human Right’s Campaign’s Youth Survey. This report provides data from 925 youth aged 13 through 17 who identify as “transgender” or an “Other gender“ (other than transgender, female, or male) about personal well-being, family support, community connection, extent of being “out,” and their hopes for the future. Suggestions for what parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals can do as allies to all youth will be part of the discussion, and copies of the report will be available to workshop attendees.
