Having Hard Conversations

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Having a difficult time talking with loved ones? With friends? How about with teachers? Is there a topic that makes you nervous just thinking about it? A conversation that you have tried to have but ends in a screaming match every time? Join us in an interactive workshop to discuss what hard conversations you have had or are planning to have. Explore what makes these discussions so challenging and learn strategies to help you along the way. Topics include preparing for conversations, self-awareness in the moment, and communication techniques such as reflective/active listening and knowing when to take a break. Make this workshop exactly what you would like it to be by sharing personal experiences and practicing in an interactive format with others.
