Finding and Creating Your Local Support Systems

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This workshop will help those who are feeling like they are on this journey with no outside support find ways to build a network. PFLAG is a national LGBT organization with a grassroots network across the country, but it is not everywhere. Some families need help to find and build their own support system. And building local support systems is what PFLAG does. Come learn how others found providers, got help with schools, understood their legal rights, and reached out to other families. We’ll put the challenges on the table and help you brainstorm how to overcome them where you live. PFLAG is a national nonprofit organization comprised of parents, families, friends and allies working with the LGBT community to move equality forward.
