Providers are often asked to support parents and youth around fertility questions. Both are often concerned about youth who physically transition being able to have biological children. This session will explore in detail different options for future biological children for those who have had or are thinking of medical interventions including puberty blockers and cross hormones. This will include some of the medical basics of what and why there are issues with fertility for youth who transition, and the impact of timing of transition on those issues. The session will also provide time for Q&A, as well as acknowledgment of the emotional difficulties that are particularly acute with this topic.
