It Can Work Out! Collaborating with Schools to Meet a Child’s Gender Needs

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

How do you partner with your school to ensure a successful gender transition or positive experience related to your gender-expansive child? This can be a scary and daunting prospect as you approach the time when your child wants to transition at school or in some other way live more consistently with their sense of self.  Who do you need to talk to? What do you have to anticipate?  This workshop will cover the successful school transition experiences of a few families, provide resources for you to use, and give you an opportunity to ask questions and share your thoughts. A panel of caregivers will share their experiences supporting their child’s gender authenticity at school. Come hear what they have learned as they have collaborated with their schools in this challenging but empowering process
