This workshop supports youth in their understanding of how to practice positive allyship. What is the spectrum of allies and where do you fall on it? Participants will learn how to apply a positive gender framework to everyday interventions and conversations. Discover ways of being more inclusive to a wide range of youth.

Jill Busby

Jill Busby [she, her] has been working with various community action agencies for over 5 years, with a focus working on issues relevant to the LGBTQQ population. Jill received her undergraduate training at Oregon State University. She is committed to bringing the best, most effective workshops and trainings to social work providers, clinicians, and educators to enhance the levels of service for LGBTQQ communities.

Maia Weiss

Maia Weiss [she, her] graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in Race and Ethnic Studies and Dance. She started at HIFY after creating original curriculum and teaching youth and adults in a variety of schools and programs. Maia has long been passionate about empowering young people and communities through social justice.
